On Christmas morning we don’t really tend to think too much about the clothes we put on. When we wake up with our eyes still bleary, our minds still asleep and our hands tearing into our stockings hanging from the end of the bed, the last thing we think about is whether the jeans you’re about to put on have been ironed or if your favourite top has been washed. It’s normally just a case of throwing the dressing gown over the pyjamas and heading down the stairs to see if the jolly chap in red has been or not…
In a lot of cases you actually end up wearing one of the gifts you receive on the day. Some will be given new Christmas jumpers, others a new pair of jeans or maybe you’ve been given a top from your favourite sports team. In others, however, you want to put on your best outfit so you can sit around the dinner table and celebrate the day in style.
Sparkly tops are always great during the festive period, allowing you to sparkle like the glass of champagne you’re drinking; as are formal tops, especially if you’re heading out to listen to some carols or for some turkey sandwiches with friends.
An alternative, however, is a bit more festive – combined with something a bit less traditional. Christmas jumpers have always been associated with festive scenes and were either knitted by a close friend or family member or bought from a high street outlet. The morphsuits Christmas jumper is a bit different and actually uses smartphone technology to display the main scene! People can download an app to their phones that displays a realistic, crackling fireplace that when inserted into a pouch inside the Christmas sweater is like looking into a traditional roaring fire. Really cool and a great use of technology to give the traditional garment a modern twist and definitely something that will get people talking around the dinner table.
